World of Warcraft Game Director speaks of the appearance Cross-Faction Guilds in the Future

According to an interview from the Raider.io team with World of Warcraft Game Director Ion Hazzikostas, it has become known that cross-faction guilds may appear in the game in the future. Based on how the game’s story unfolds after the Shadowlands expansion, the Horde and Alliance have once again formed an alliance to face a stronger foe.

In the interview, it was said that the unification of players from different factions in one guild has already been definitely decided. But it is not yet known when this change will be applied in the game. Now players can already unite in groups and raids, regardless of faction affiliation.

But the Hall of Fame is still divided into two factions and mixed raids do not get there. This is likely to change when inter-factional guilds are introduced into the game and the line between factions is almost completely erased.

According to Ion Hazzikostas, he is convinced that this innovation will appear in the game, but he does not say when and in what addition. After that, the Hall of Fame will be transferred to a universal mode, where there will no longer be a division into factions.

The release of the next World of Warcraft: Dragonflight expansion pack will take place on November 29, 2022. The special feature this time around is that the new season will start immediately when the patch is released, and not a week later, as it was before. The developers said that this is a test solution and they will monitor how it will affect the raid races. If the decision is justified, then this system will be used in the future.
